What could a wind mitigation inspection be worth on your home?

Answer what you already know about your roof and your windows. If you do not know an item, choose the unknown option and the estimate will widen honestly rather than guess.

This is an estimate, not a quote and not legal advice. It cannot see your policy, your carrier's filed rates or your property. Use it to walk into the conversation informed, then let a licensed agent run the real numbers.Everything you type stays in this page. There is no server call, no account and no email gate, and nothing here is sent to us or to anyone else.

Estimated annual saving

Estimated credit on the wind portion of your premium: 0% – 45%

Because you answered unknown on some items, this range is wide on purpose. An inspection replaces it with a number.

An inspection typically costs less than one month of premium and the form is generally good for 5 years.

Book the inspection first, then let us shop it

How this is calculated

Wind mitigation credits are filed per carrier and apply to the wind portion of the premium rather than the whole bill. This estimator applies typical credit weightings for the items on form OIR-B1-1802, assumes the wind portion is a majority of a South Florida coastal premium, and reports a range rather than a point number because carriers differ.

What this cannot know

It cannot see your filed rates, your carrier's credit table or your actual building. It cannot tell you whether your openings qualify as protected, which only the inspector decides. Treat the output as a reason to book the inspection, not as a saving to budget.
