These terms cover your use of this website, operated by Atalaya Insurance. Using the site means you accept them. They are short, and the first section is the one that matters.
Atalaya Insurance publishes information about Florida insurance. It does not sell, quote or bind coverage. Nothing on this site is a quote, a binder, or a promise of coverage. Coverage is bound only when a carrier issues a policy. Descriptions of coverage are general; your policy language governs.
Everything else on this page follows from that. If you are relying on something you read here as though it were a policy term, stop and read your policy, or ask a licensed agent.
We are not an insurance agency. We connect you with licensed Florida insurance agents who can quote and bind coverage. By sending the contact form you agree that we or a licensed agent may contact you by phone, text or email about your request. We do not sell your details to a lead network.
We are not that agent, we are not a party to any policy you buy, and we do not decide what you are offered or what it costs. Any relationship you form afterwards is between you, that agent and the carrier that issues the policy. The form itself carries a one-line version of the paragraph above and links here, because a wall of disclosure above a submit button is read by nobody and this is the page where it binds.
The calculators are estimating tools. They run entirely in your browser using the figures you type and the public rules described alongside them, and their output is an illustration, not an offer, a rating, or an underwriting decision. A carrier’s own rating will differ, and the number that counts is the one on a policy.
The claims and community figures on this site come from public federal sources, chiefly the National Flood Insurance Program datasets published by FEMA, and from the United States Census Bureau. Each page names its source and the date it was pulled. Public data contains errors and revisions, and we reproduce it without warranting that it is complete or current. It describes what has happened in an area; it does not predict what will happen to a property.
Nothing here is legal, tax, or financial advice, and it is not a recommendation that any particular coverage is right for you. Florida insurance law and carrier rules change, and a page written in one month can be out of date in the next. For advice about your own situation, speak to a licensed agent or an attorney.
You may read, print and share these pages. You may not scrape the site at a volume that interferes with it, copy substantial portions of the writing or the compiled data for a competing publication, misrepresent yourself when using the contact form, or submit another person’s details as though they were your own.
Please do not send social security numbers, driver licence numbers, policy numbers or medical details through the form. Nobody needs them to call you back, and the form asks you not to. What happens to a submission is described in the Privacy Policy.
Where we link to a government site, a carrier, or a public database, we do not control it and are not responsible for what it says or does. Those links exist so you can check us, which is the point of publishing them.
The site is provided as it is, without warranty. To the fullest extent Florida law allows, Atalaya Insurance is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of it, including a decision made in reliance on an estimate, a data figure, or a description of coverage on these pages.
We may update these terms; the date at the top is when they last changed. They are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.
Questions about these terms go through the contact form on this site.
